‘The referential (and the) network’ emerged as a token of personal musings connected to the emergence of art and its inherent value content. It is quite evident that the field has long surpassed its origins and has since eclipsed into something altogether peculiar. If there is something truly interesting to ponder over it is tightly connected to the transition currently taking place on the global level as the humanity is slowly transcending from the order of the tangible/material to a form of existence defined by ephemerality.
When it comes to art itself the question becomes how can something which is inherently defined by its non-presence be assimilated with the attribute of the tangible order, as the coordinates of such are inherently equalised with the present moment, posing the question of value and adoption.
Digital art is and simultaneously isn’t.
It defines phase-transition that is currently palpable, acting as a token and a sign of times that were, that are and that will be.
It is this precise thought that has instigated the existence of artist’s oeuvre within two realms, initially the works are digital, yet their translation into the the tangible and palpable defines the current set of coordinates -with one foot in the digital and another in the analogue world.
These 33 pages, unintentionally finished on 8.3.2024 whilst existing as an autonomous work also act as a collection of thoughts that has preceded the manuscript examining the origin of life and consciousness – two faculties that are intimately connected to the domain of art itself.
